Visit of best-selling author, Mike Gayle
On Friday 8th February, we were very excited to welcome Mike Gayle, who kindly gave up his time
to talk to all the children about his career and how he became an author. The children listened intently and asked excellent questions, for example about how Mike comes up with characters for his books and how he first got into writing.
Mike was very impressed by the enthusiasm and “brilliant behaviour” of the children, and he said that he really enjoyed his time with us.
One of his top tips, to encourage us all:
“Read often, write frequently, and don’t give up.”
